This Army Ant Might get away from the Mighty Mites, or he Might not. Army ant mites are the most specialized mites found on any social insect. You can say they are imbedded, and I do believe if viewed under a microscope the red capes are visible.

That is sooo funny! I did a piece a couple weeks ago on ants and mites...You can look on my site at Farm Ants,on Sept. 9.in the archives. Though, I suspect since we regularly visit each others sites youmay already have seen it!
