Scale

CONTEST:
The Ants are getting ready for winter and they need a safe place to store their food. The carpenter ant decided to base his design on a building that was 20 feet by 40 feet.
This is too big, so if the scale is 1 inch to 10 feet, what will the dimensions be for the ant sized storage unit?
One Winner will be randomly selected from all of the correct answers.

THE PRIZE:
Your very own "Bunny Flower" Ornament made by yours truely.
Good Luck!!!!

Artists aren't supposed to understand that. That's why I am always amazed that employers think that a web designer and web developer is the same person. never, I say, never. Sorry, went off on a tangent there. Cute piece!

I'm thinking 2"x4" but math isn't my strong point. Astro physics is though :P
Fun one PPC! And sweet embroidered ornament!

OH NO! I don't know 'inches' or 'feet' HAHA. My face looks like your Carpenter Ant's! The dimensions of the ant storage unit will be two by four inches. I don't think that would be big enough! HAHAA Bunny Flower is precious :)

Ants are better than me at arithmetic. A fine study of a studious ant!

I'm thinking 2 x 4 because if 1" is to 10 feet, and if it's based on a 20 foot building by 40 foot building, just divide both by 10??? Blah Blah Blah! I just took up way too much space here! :) Cute illo and fun contest idea! Get that gray matter working overtime!

2 inches by 4 inches, and, honest, I didn't look at any comments before I racked my noggin figurin' it out. Proportional scaling is a wonderful thing, as is this post.

Hheheh! 2X4 inches... Too easy! :) *I'm such a genious* *and so humble*.... :) But I think your ant farm should be a bit bigger!!!

Hihi...well, I see I'm not alone with all the other right brainers here (my lefty is just TOO lazy, on a Sunday especially). But, analytical equation aside...such a cute piece! I especially like the details of his little tongue hanging out, his antennane slightly askew, we can see he's really a thinkin'.

Ants in pants! What wonderful little characters you create. They aren't supposed to ask us questions, however. This guy will measure up very well.
I have enough trouble converting inches to picas.... leave my brain alone for now.

2 inches by 4 inches. And thank you SO MUCH for making me do math. Nice. I better win, that's all I can say.

Great work BTW.

Your ants have such unique character, and I like the colors you used, and the clever way that you worked the word into the story. Thanks for your kind comments regarding Trowbridge. More adventures are just around the corner.

I started to think about those numbers, and my head started hurting. But I really like your bunny, even though I didn't win him. (I could always DO math, but it's such a CHORE!) I'm pretty good at singing harmony, though! Have a contest like that!!! :o)
