Yes, even the ants have a role to play in Ancient superstitions. Roman soldiers often observed ants, if they were fighting it meant the enemy was near.

Ah, yes, reminds me of all those gladiantor movies I watched as a kid. The lips never matched the sound, but the fighting was frantic. And with so many appendages with which to hold swords and knives and such, fighting between your ant actors would be even more so.
Just look at those warriors go!! What a crack up!
